Inkwell - 2021 Road to Joy
Road to Joy is a single vineyard Inkwell Estate blend of 85% Shiraz and 15% Primitivo. Wild-fermented, without chemical additions on site and barrel aged in French and American oak for sixteen months. Grown in thin loam soil over the Pirramimma Sandstone formation. Minimum effective SO2 added.

Tasting Note: A warm and inviting blend that marries the brambly flavours and acidic lift of Primitivo with Inkwell’s dark and savoury Shiraz. Inkwell’s savoury all-rounder whether with pizza and BBQ’s or a roast meal and a warm fire. - Irina and Dudley Brown, Winemakers.

Dub Style - 2019 No. 19
This is our No. 19 rendition of our Re-Mix series, a Grenache based delicious Red-Blend for any occasion. This almost traditional “Rhone blend” has varietal characteristics from these four grapes combining to produce a delicious wine for red wine lovers. It is a serious and complex wine with persistent length, freshness and smooth fruit tannins. Touriga adds a savoury element that complements the shiraz abundance of fruit and the red plum, raspberry, red current, lavender, white pepper, fig and herbs flavours brought by the Grenache and Mataro together with the Shiraz dark fruit characters. - Irina and Dudley Brown, Winemakers.

Smallfry - 2021 Moonfish Shiraz
Barossa ‘raz, but not as we know it. Pours almost like liquid night time, rich and purple and silky. Cooling note of vanilla, dark forest fruits to follow with some woody spice notes in the finish. Starts rounded, but finishes leaner with some nice soft tannin. Miam. Wayne and Suzi Ahrens are Smallfry, and the wines they make are almost as fun as the shirts Wayne wears. They redefine Barossa drinking and farming, spreading their wings across a range of styles, all looked after organically and biodynamically. There’s classics, experiments but always, a lot of love.

Umani Ronchi - 2022 Monepulciano D'Abruzzo DOC 'Podere'
First made in 1977, this entry level Montepulciano is the ultimate value ‘pizza wine’, although it goes with just about anything. Highlighting the varietal characteristics (plum and morello cherry) with freshness (no oak), the result is a pleasing and versatile easy-to-drink wine.

The Bernetti family, proprietors of Umani Ronchi, have led the quality revolution of the Marches’ indigenous variety, Verdicchio. Based near Ancona on the eastern coast of central Italy, the vine has flourished in the mild climate, favoured by hilly terrain, long hours of sunshine, cool nights and moderating sea breezes from the Adriatic. The Bernetti’s own over 200 hectares of prime vineyards in the Marche (110 in Verdicchio Classico and 60 in Rosso Conero) and Abruzzo (30 in the prestigious ‘Colline Teramane’, the region’s first DOCG appellation). Leading Piedmontese Oenologist Beppe Caviola heads the oenological team, having received a healthy legacy from retired consultant and Italy’s greatest winemaker, Giacomo Tachis. - Trembath & Taylor - Importer.
