Talk about being irresistible. An old block that imparts a noteworthy saltiness to the wines. Chenin with twelve days on skins, making for galangal, tangerine, jasmine and clove. A little grip, a little bit more acid - this wine is like your favourite person walking into the room and immediately lightening it up. Craig and Carla of Testalonga are uncompromising in their quest to make not only the best wines they possibly can, but change the global perception of South African wine. They turn classic South African varieties like Chenin (or colloquially, Steen) on their heads with experiment cellar techniques. If you want to bring the best wine at the party, we highly recommend bringing one of theirs.
