The northern slope is a cliff overlooking the river, with a dense forest of oaks and other tall trees, renowned for the search for the Alba white truffle. The proximity to the river gives Pora a more temperate microclimate on summer mornings and higher relative humidity. The soil, too, is influenced by the proximity of the Tanaro Valley and is more fertile than other vineyards. These soil and climate characteristics give Pora wines a certain softness of tannins, making them more open and drinkable when young. It is one of the historic areas for growing Barbaresco. Already included in the vineyard map drawn up by Domizio Cavazza in 1894, it has been produced as a Riserva since 1967. - Produttori Del Barbaresco, Winery.
