In 1998, Simone Castelli purchased a parcel of land that was once allocated number 414 on the
government register when the land was reclaimed in the 1950’s. Alongside Morellino, the local
name for Sangiovese, he planted varieties most suitable to the character of the Maremma, including Alicante, Colorino and Ciliegiolo. - Trembath & Taylor, Importers.
