This 2017 is lighter and more succulently fruited than the larger 2016 with attractive garnet/ruby colour and light purplish hues. The nose is complexed with blueberry, cassis and redcurrant with hints at sous-bois and gravel. In 2017 the wine is superb quality, medium-bodied it is very precise, with fine tannins paving the way for a very long and complex finish. A wine of great finesse, sensual in its youth but also with the potential to age and grow for several decades, revealing the full depth and character of this superb terroir. The epitome of elegance and refinement, this 2017 will cellar to advantage for 20-30 years.The nose is attractively fruity, with ripe red fruit aromas dominated by cassis and redcurrant with hints at sous-bois and gravel. The estate is planted mostly to Merlot but also has plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Carmenère. For white wine, only Semillon is used.
