2021 proved challenging to some producers but in general, those at higher altitudes, like Il Marroneto - fared very well. Significant diurnal shifts during a sometimes-warm summer kept grapes in perfect conditions for ripening and maintained acidity so that the vintage has both a sense of silky immediacy , and acid spined freshness that speaks to longevity.
