Okayama Triple Cask single malt whisky is the latest release from Miyashita Distillery in the Okayama prefecture and has already picked up a Gold Medal at the International Spirits Awards 2019 in Germany and Category Gold at the 2020 World Whiskies Awards.

Using only the finest quality ‘Nijo’ barley sourced locally, it is aged for three years in brandy, sherry and Mizunara barrels to create a smooth and delectable finish.

Nose: Fantastic! Cream sherry, almonds, cashews, macadamias, seared orange slices, nutmeg, brandy-soaked cherries. Sweet tobacco, pepper and a pleasant savory note.

Palate: Pecans, cinnamon, raisins, currants, plums, blood oranges. Brandy snaps, black cherries, sweet tobacco, licorice, demerara sugar. Tangy & juicy fruits. Full bodied.

Finish: Long on currants, raisins, vanilla, sweet tobacco, licorice, demerara sugar. Reminiscent of some of the better Yamazaki Sherry Cask Whiskies.
