To create this truly unique whisky, Archie Rose has selectively sourced rare malted rye and the finest malted barley from progressive malt houses, paired them with American oak casks air-dried for 36 months and let it all mature in the maritime air of coastal Sydney. Spice driven, full of warm buckwheat porridge, tarragon, violets, chocolate cake. Quintessential rye crispiness to finish. Archie Rose has been figuring out whisky production for a fair few years now, and it is really turning an illustrious and exciting corner. Based in Rosebery, Sydney, they started out crafting vodka and gin to much acclaim, serving them in their world class bar on site. Whisky came later, what with aging parameters, but has now garnered the same reputation with many international whisky awards under their belts. Go visit the distillery! It’s gorgeous.
