Where do we start? Our friendship with Alex and Galit bloomed long before Winona, and what a beautiful thing it’s been to finally create a wine with them. Where do we start? Our friendship with Alex and Galit bloomed long before Winona, and what a beautiful thing it’s been to finally create a wine with them. Kizuna (キズナ) — meaning an enduring bond between people — is stunning fruit from Ernst Sigel’s renowned Sellicks Hill vineyard. Mostly Shiraz, and for added dimension a splash of Grenache plus a few buckets of Riesling, White and Red Frontignac, Cab Sauv and Sultanas! Our very own Ryoji handpicked the fruit, which was then destemmed, fermented in an open vat, punched down twice a day, pressed after 16 days on skins, aged in old french wood for 6 months, then the barrels blended together and bottled by Ryoji. As per all wines by The Other Right, no additions of any kind.

Kizuna is a sentimental wine, a true vinous expression of キズナ.  Juicy black fruits pulsing on the palate like a beating heart. A soft, curvaceous body that engulfs you in a warm embrace. Blindingly bright and textured like velveteen, with supple tannins and juicy jouissance. Kizuna is a universal rouge that drinks well above its price point, ideal for any occasion and any human.
