2023 Friends Indeed

Concerned about yields after the cyclone, Amy and Olly took some pinot noir from a couple of good friends in Martinborough, which was direct-pressed and fermented as a pale rosé. This was later blended with a smaller portion of sangiovese rosé and skin-fermented chardonnay. Somewhere between a rosé and an orange wine, the style is similar to the 2022 Heliacal Rise, albeit with a touch more power and orange hue. - Amy Hopkinson, Winemaker
