With a patchwork of vines covering more than two hectares, this is arguably Pataille’s signature red cuvée. The vineyards are spread across Chenôve, Couchey and Marsannay-la-Côte, where the conditions have produced an ethereal wine that is dense with florals and fruit. This is a wine that unfurls. Cascades even. Why not? Fleshy and charming, bursting with aromas of raspberries, plums and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, textural and seamless, with lively acids and a nervy, saline finish. Ripe cherry fruit and an earthy complexity. 

Sylvain Pataille is Marsannay born and bred. He grew up amongst the vines, helping his father prune the vines on a friend's vineyard. As he got more familiar with the area, he branched out and started working amidst other vineyards. Studying at Beaune with some of the other greats, he began working in a wine lab, as well as a winery in Bordeaux. Drawn back home, as most are wont to do, he looks after fifteen hectares of vines, growing Aligoté, Pinot Noir, Pinot Beurrot (Gris), Chardonnay, Chardonnay Rosé and Aligoté Doré.
