Pietraventosa is a family run winery in Gioia del Colle, located in the southern Italian of Puglia, the heel of the boot of Italy. It’s a region known more and more by curious travellers, but not necessarily as holding a candle to the rest of Italy in terms of winemaking, however you can’t argue that Puglia’s wines are distinct and memorable. Founded in the early 2000s by Marianna Annio and her husband, Raffaele, the two are a passionate pair keen to showcase the beauty and uniqueness of wines from their part of the world. They now have three vineyards, with the largest planted mainly to Primitivo - the red wine best associated with this region.
