Hakuhodo Sumitani Saburo Shōten was founded in 1939 in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, where copper smelting tradition stretches back 400 years to the Edo period. This local, handmade tradition is kept alive by the masterful artisans for which the town is renowned, who work with copper, brass and bronze. Designed by hird-generation craftsman Masataka Sumitani, the Sphere Incense Holder is handcrafted in Takaoka City from solid brass. Fusing tradition and timelessness, it features a brass ball balanced on a brass ring – you can position the ball on any angle you please, and it boasts two different sized holes for both Indian and Japanese incense. Measures 16mm diameter.
