Sumitani Saburo Shoten - Cube Incense Holder Silver

Cube Incense Holder Silver

Hakuhodo Sumitani Saburo Shōten was founded in 1939 in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, where copper smelting tradition stretches back 400 years to the Edo period. This local, handmade tradition is kept alive by the masterful artisans for which the town is renowned, who work with copper, brass and bronze. Designed by third-generation craftsman Masataka Sumitani, the Cube Incense Holder is handcrafted in Takaoka City from solid brass. Fusing tradition and timelessness, it's a little work of minimalist art. It boasts two different sized holes for both Indian and Japanese incense, and measures 20 × 20 × 20mm. When not in use, the cube also functions as a paperweight due to the weight of the brass :)
