2021 Syrah

The 2021 Syrah is drawn from fruit grown across two of Express’s organically managed leased vineyards (Merrebee and Trappers Gully) and one owned and run by friends the team consult to (Lecco vineyard). The grapes were all hand harvested and sent to a brand new, gentle destemmer (the percentage of whole bunch was reduced to 15% this year). Élevage was in a combination of neutral oak, slightly newer puncheons and a new concrete tank. Distinctive and typical Shiraz flavours, game meat, vibrant and lots of berries. Enticing perfume in the real 'Syrah' style. 13.9% abv.
