A brand-new wine from Jasper, Pompette translates to tipsy in French. His aim was a bistro-style wine that can be chilled and consumed with pleasure; well, he’s nailed it. The Syrah (85%) was sourced from the Kas Sluiter vineyard in Mylor, while the Grenache is sourced from Fiona Wood’s (also a source for the Jauma wines!) vineyard in Blewitt Springs. The Syrah (85%) was sourced from the Kas Sluiter vineyard in Mylor, while the Grenache is sourced from Fiona Wood’s (also a source for the Jauma wines!) vineyard in Blewitt Springs. Each parcel was hand-harvested, destemmed and chilled. Fermentations were wild and extraction was very gentle.
