A variety of sensations, with a full-bodied, classic and well structured wine which ages well and perfectly represents the important character of our land. It is best to decant and serve it at temperatures between The 2016 vintage was certainly one of the longest-lasting in recent years.
Mild temperatures and low rainfall have characterized January and early February. From the end of February throughout March, on the other hand, the temperatures dropped and there was plenty of rain, providing the soil with good reserves of water and an early bud burst. The “late” cold led to a slowdown in the vegetative functions of the plant. Spring began with a considerable amount of rain. This phenological delay continued until the end of the Summer, which also began slowly but the parameters of the Summer season lasted until late September, guaranteeing complete ripening of the berries. This vintage resulted in wines with excellence balance, with big bouquets and great structure. An extraordinary vintage, which will be talked about for a long time to come. After the harvest into Liste Vineyard, a soil characterized by structure and micro and macro elements that combined together, in the cellar the grapes are destemmed and pressed. This is followed by a spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks, with temperatures between 22°C and 28°c for about 18 days. Then there is submerged cap maceration always in concrete (lasting more than 40 days), during wich malo-lactic fermentation took place. As temperature rise in Spring, the wine is racked into large Slavonian oak barrels where it will age for 3 years and 8 months. This is followed by a passage in concrete tanks before being bottled.

Deep ruby red colour with garnet hightlights. A great wine that needs a few moments in order to express its full potential, but which reveals fruity, minty and incense scents to the nose. A long sip and lingering tannins. A crisp, silent and incisive wine.18-20°C. It achieves its best expression when served with red meats, particularly game, and with dishes dressed with truffle. It is also excellent with fresh egg pasta and meat sauce, and with risotto, as well as medium-mature cow’s milk and goat’s milk cheeses. - Andrea Farinetti, Winemaker.
