The fruit for the Hedonist Shiraz predominantly comes from estate grown certified organic/biodynamic vineyard in the Willunga foothills, as well as from various organic and biodynamic vineyards in the Sellicks Foothills, Blewitt Springs and Kangarilla – all from vastly different soil profiles and aspects across the McLaren Vale district. Smooth, medium bodied, full of plum and yum. Hedonist have long been staples in our humble shop, perfect easy drinkers that suit all palates and all occasions. Great to have something simple and versatile that still sits in the organic category. The winemaking team consists of Walter Clappis, a veteran winemaker of 36 vintages, his daughter Kimberly and her partner James Cooter. Walter’s experience and wisdom plus the energy and enthusiasm of the new generation, has created the perfect balance in the winery. All the wines reflect a purity which is consistent with the winemakers and their philosophies.
