Based between Berlin and Brandenburg, Christian Metzner established his eponymous design studio in 2006, creating timeless pieces that oscillate between laboratory aesthetics, progressive design, and antiquated elegance. His Frau Kröger Carafe is testament to this, masterfully melding formal craftmanship with conceptual design. It has three spouts for aethetic symmetry, but also so you don't have to turn the jug to face you when pouring! Practical AND beautiful! Each carafe is hand crafted from borosilicate glass, and Christian works with master glass blowers in Czechia to create the forms. The titanium-coated glass is heat-proof, scratch-proof and robust (but we'd still recommend hand washing). Christian's limited 'Pride Edition' is coated in a special process to create a multicoloured shimmering layer. Holds 1L of happiness.
