Syrah 86% and Semillon 14% from Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley respectively. Semillon juice poured ovber over Syrah skins for a 1 week maceration. Pressed and aged 30% in used barrel, 70% in stainless tank for 11 months. Serve bit chilled recommended. “Greek Life” means generic term of “Fraternity” and “Sorority” for uni students in US. This is my first winemaking sourced grapes out of Adelaide Hills. I had planned to make red wine with blend of Syrah and bit of white then found Riesling but the Riesling grower suddenly cancelled to pick fruits...I had to find any other white in few days by pressing day as Syrah was fermenting. Finally I found organically grown Semillon from my friend in Barossa with better quality. With lots of help from locals that’s why I gave name “Greek Life” as it reminded me the unity of South Australian community!
