The lion’s share of the Grenache fruit comes from the Ryan Road Vineyard, a site James started working with in 2020. It’s managed by Dave Gartlemann, sits at 60 metres elevation and is home to 44-year-old vines. It’s a rock-rich site, the soils are silty sand over red clay, interspersed with schist and ironstone.
