2020 Ribolla Gialla
Fresh, springtime scents and palate, reminiscent of Meyer lemon and daffodil, jonquil, quine. We would drink it drenched in patio sunshine, over a plate of oysters and buttered toast. An easy aperitif wine that could lean into many more wines.
Oh how we love this region. Oh how we love this grape. How wonderful it is that it has been brought to Australia more and more as we grow more fascinated with these textural, aromatic varieties. Founded in 1973 by Andrea Visintini, this twenty-four hectare estate has vineyards in Collio, Collio Orientali and Grave del Friuli, and is now run by the new generation of Oliviero and his twin sisters Cinzia and Palmira. Vineyard practices are now entirely biodynamic, and certified this year.
