2020 Skin Fermented Field Blend
From one of the oldest vineyards in North Canterbury, this organic single-vineyard wine is a harmony of of Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Gewürtztraminer. All the varieties are harvested together when the Riesling is ripe, destemmed, and co-fermented on skins using native yeasts. The wine is then left on skins for six weeks before pressing into Spanish amphora for ageing. Bottled unfined, and unfiltered. Earthy, spicy and as bright as the sun.
