Rich and savoury, black and red cherries swirl around herbs and roses and violets, so much pleasure in this aromatic profile. You just want to fall right into the glass. Gains richness and length as it breathes – making for early temptation, but could do with a few more years to sleep. Try the ‘13 and save the ‘17 we say. Bussia in Monforte d’Alba is not only a little village, a place set in the wonderful panorama of the Langhe, it is one of the first outstanding sub-zones, famous for wines of deep power and presence. Within these hills is the Farm Silvano Bolmida, where 5 hectares of vineyards are cultivated by the Bolmida family. His name may be lesser known, but the wines are certainly something you won’t forget.
