Sàgona is a farm on the foothills of Pratomagno mountain range, which produces oil, wine, fruit, vegetables, potatoes and legumes. The crops are mixed together in solidarity with the mountain and the forest. Everything is farmed following organic principals. The vineyards are around 500m above sea level, surrounded by dry stone walls, in a narrow valley. Daniele takes care of approximately 1500 olive trees of the Moraiolo, Leccino and Frantoio cultivars, and 4 hectares of vineyards of Sangiovese, Malvasia Bianca, Malvasia Nera Ciliegiolo, Canaiolo, Colorino and Trebbiano. Juicy swathes of wild berries, aromatic herbs and some faint spice makes for a harmonic and happy wine. Medium bodied. Boom.
