Place of Changing Winds is Rob Walter’s new project. Walter’s is a famed wine journalist and importer (Bibendum) but was always on the lookout for a place to settle and grow some fruit of his own. Michael Dillon of Bindi Wines eventually found the site for him. Based in the Macedon Ranges, the project is mostly Burgundian in ethos; close planted Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. However, there’s smatterings of Syrah and Marsanne nearby in Heathcote, which are also put to great use.
