Calling this a wine doesn’t quite reflect what this is, it is more a reflection of a place and an attitude towards protecting and representing a particular plot of Earth. A plot that teems with life, these wines are really a ferment of heart and soul. Lithe Pinot, not quite like any other Pinot we've had before. Dane and his wife Hannah make wines in Gippsland that feel like they reach up and touch the sky, bringing down soft handfuls of clouds with them. You may recognise their other label, Momento Mori; Nikau is their estate fruit release. Their wines feel like they walk around barefoot, free. They are wines made by people who have innate respect for the living and what exists around us.
