Mosse - 2018 Le Gros

This is a relatively new cuvée from a deeply experienced and vaired Domaine. This is the third vintage comprised predominantely of the Anjou favourite grape variety, Grolleau Noir! Grolleau is this juicy, blueberry, brambly guy but is wonderfully balanced here by blending with Gamay, Grolleau Gris and Côt (Malbec). All varietals were fermented together, carbonically. So, it's very much the fruitier end of the spectrum, a perfect starburst of flavours that beg for sunshine and laughter.  I would even be so bold as to say pop it in the fridge a bit, particularly if you want to enhance those fruity charms. The grapes for Le Gros are all from the estate, grown on clay, shale and schist, so texture is a guarantee. Yum.
