Like looking up at the moon when it’s taken on some orange and red, framed by a dark, blue sky. Funny that. Tattouine is made of Grenache Gris and Grenache Noir, straight down the middle split. The grapes are macerated on skin for about three weeks - awakening a fruit salad palate of red currant, cherry and mint. The lightest of light, ethereal. He is a kind, patient and nurturing person with an incredible view of the world. His sensibility and personality has not only brought us these special wines, but inspired others around the globe to practise his ways in their own vineyards. A kiwi,but growing up in South Africa, he finally settled in the Languedoc, growing a myriad of local varieties biodynamically, and vinifying them into a stunning array of aromatically charged wines.
