Mada - 2019 Sui Generis V Pet Nat

Hamish Young's Sui Generis series are experimental one-off wines, never to be repeated. Each release is an 'empty canvas' buzzing with vast potential to explore new varieties, sites and styles – and to form new friendships through collaborations with local creatives on labels.

Mada's 2019 release is a frisky rose pet nat crafted with mostly Nebbiolo (from Hilltops), around 5% Riesling (from Murrumbateman), and splash of Tumbarumba Chardonnay lees. It's beaming with fresh florals, red berries and clear skies. The label artwork was created by Canberra artist Tony Curran, who wanted to visualise how the wine tasted – "spacious, bright and effervescent ... this wine should be enjoyed playfully, with friends and in golden light."
