Lucy Margaux - 2019 Sangiovese Stupefacente

"Sangiovese grown in the heart of the Picadilly Valley on red clay over sandstone with an eastern facing aspect at the bottom of a cold, deep valley. 100% destemmed fruit, then the berries and juices is placed in a 1500L century-old barrel, where it is fermented and aged on skins for 4 months, then pressed. It has a magenta vibrant colour, and the extended time on skins has allowed the tannins to become silky sumptuous and persistent, providing a platform for the umeboshi acidity and layered flavours of cranberry, satsuma and rosehip tea." – Anton van Klopper

All of Anton's wines are made from organically farmed grapes, picked early for lower alcohol and vinified with zero additives. No chemicals are ever used in the winery – not even to clean (only water is used and occasionally alcohol which he distills himself). Wine for the purest of purists among you. It's basically healthy right?
