"Robert Surmann’s vineyard in Totness with 25 y/o Sauvignon Blanc grown on black sandy soil overlying petrified schist, it is VSP trained and spur pruned. The fruit is destemmed, left to soak and start ferment on berries for one weeks. This helps the perfumed notes in the wine. It’s then pressed and fermented and aged in 680L vitrified ceramic eggs. At bottling the Sauv is blended with barrel fermented pressings of Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. The wine is slightly cloudy golden colour. A perfume of the richness of rose scented bath salts warmed by beeswax candles flickering gently, lucid fluidity coats and angel dust exploding gently over your tongue." – Anton van Klopper 

All of Anton's wines are made from organically farmed grapes, picked early for lower alcohol and vinified with zero additives. No chemicals are ever used in the winery – not even to clean (only water is used and occasionally alcohol which he distills himself). Wine for the purest of purists among you.
