Robert Surmann’s vineyard in Totness is the gift that really keeps on giving, this time with Gamay! It was carbonically fermented for 5 days then aged in an 800L terracotta egg. Anton Von Klopper makes natural wine! By his definition, and consequently encouraging the standard of many others inspired by him, natural wine must be made from organic/ biodynamic grapes and naturally fermented. The winemaker must not fine, filter or add anything including sulphur. So this one’s for the zero/zero heads. Anton, along with his merry band of Basket Range bandits, like to make wines for health, to the betterment of humans and the environment.
