A succulent marriage of Grolleau and Cabernet Franc from a young winemaking couple, Maïté Perrocheau and Warren Truchon, in Loire Valley's Rablay-sur-Layon. Organic fruit, handpicked, wild fermented on skins for 20 days and aged in stainless steel vats for 6 months. This is a total smasher. Dances and prances in your mouth to a beat of juicy red berries – cherry, raspberry, redcurrant – underscored by herbaceous intonations and zesty textures. Savoury shadows bring depth, and as you sip, the bright red fruits morph into darker tones of blueberries and licorice. Ugh, so so good!
