2022 Rebelle

An experimental whole bunch carbonic Chardonnay. Making the journey to the dark heart of skin fermented Chardonnay. Soft, golden and orange. Funky nose.
On the palate it is rich and light textured with Candied citrus peel, lemon and orange zest, grapefruit marmalade, beeswax and honey. Textural as expected but punctuated by prickly acidity and powdery tannins. Focussed and juicy with bitter lemon and lime cordial. Just a hint of old barrel charm.
