Le Coste - 2019 Litrozzo Rosso 1L
Based in Gradoli, Italy, Le Coste Vineyard began in 2004 when Gianmarco Antonuzzi and Clementine Bouveron purchased 3ha of abandoned land known as 'Le Coste'. The vineyard now covers about 14ha, with biodynamically-farmed young vines, old vines (40 – 60 yrs), olive trees and fruit trees growing on volcanic soils rich in iron and minerals.
Litrozzo Rosso is a visceral vino full of plump red fruits, sticky jam, dried fruits and bright minerals. It’s a mouth hug – a joyful example of harvest wine, made by the people for the people. Sangiovese meets Ciliegiolo and Merlot, fermented naturally with no added sulphur. Tip: Serve slightly chilled, open it with a shoe and drink as shown on the label.
