Le Coste - 2020 Litrozzo Bianco 1L

2020 Litrozzo Bianco 1L

Procanico, Malvasia, Roscetto, Verdello, Petino, Romanesco
Lazio, Italy

This is a wine made for drinking – don't taste, don't think, don't talk; just close your eyes and drift downstream on the hazy golden rapids. Absolute sunshine juice. Aromatics soar out of the glass and disappear into the clouds, while the palate is dripping in lush stone fruits. It's mostly Procanico and Malvasia, with a little Roscetto, Verdello, Petino and Romanesco. A little skin contact, a lotta yum.

Based in Gradoli, Italy, Le Coste Vineyard began in 2004 when Gianmarco Antonuzzi and Clementine Bouveron purchased 3ha of abandoned land known as 'Le Coste'. The vineyard now covers about 14ha, with biodynamically-farmed young vines, old vines (40 – 60 yrs), olive trees and fruit trees growing on volcanic soils rich in iron and minerals. 'Litrozzo' was born in 2006 with the idea of having something to drink during the week and to offer friends at weekend lunches. It's Le Coste's interpretation of an everyday wine, a ‘vino da tavola’, suited for meals and aperitivo. Its name derives from the fact that a 750ml bottle is too small!
