2019 Vi Vini Amphora Toscana Sangiovese
La Ginestra was born in 1978 when a group of young people rescued some abandoned land, cleaning the bushes with goats. They seeded cereals and legumes, planted vines and started beekeeping. Ten cows and a few pigs soon joined the family. Today, they produce natural wine, organic olive oil, organic honey, pollen and propolis. They work as a true farm – utilising crop and grazing rotation over their 50 hectares of land. The collective lives and works on the land together, and continue to push their winemaking into new territory. Organic since 1989, La Ginestra's wines have been natural since 2012. Their '19 Sangiovese is a juicy and bright red raised in amphora – no oak influence. This ceramic vessel allows the wine to breathe and grow into itself. Dark fruit core orbited with rustic tannin.
