Kurinuki Hand Carved Sake Cup (guinomi)
When we went to Japan, we fell in love with kurinuki pottery. Kurinuki is a traditional Japanese form of handbuilding, whereby a solid block of clay is hollowed out and carved to create an interior. So sculptural, so beautiful.
These kurinuki sake cups were lovingly handmade by Sydney artist Alessandro Di Sarno. They are finished with a divine milky gray-green glaze applied in varying layers to accentuate the sculptural elements of each cup. So, so special. Drink form them, or put them on your shelf as an art object. Or both. Definitely both.
Cups sold individually, and each cup is unique.
