Kindeli - 2020 Tinto

Based in Upper Moutere on the South Island of New Zealand, Alex Craighead crafts expressive, zero additive wines from 10 different varieties across 4 vineyards (owned and leased). Fruit is dry farmed organically and harvested by hand. This 2019 ‘Tinto’ is a harmonic blend of Pinot Noir (90%), Syrah (5%) and Petit Verdot (5%), mostly destemmed and wild fermented in stainless steel and amphora. Small batch ferments with 5-10 days maceration. Approximately 10% whole bunches and 10% carbonic maceration. Zero sulphur added. This juicy red is a buoyant berry bonanza. It’s light, bright and ready to take flight. A little wild and rustic, however still friendly enough for the whole family ;)
