Jean-Francois Debourg is based in the south of Beaujolais; in Saint-Germain Nuelles. The winery dates back to 1850 and has been passed down from father to son for generations. Consisting of roughly 40 hectares of organically cultivated vineyards (2021 certified organic). It wasn’t until 2016, that he began to make his own wine, something his father had always wanted for the family. It was partly inspired by Jean meeting up with Francois Ecot, who became his mentor. Francois took Jean under his firm wings and showed him the way of natural winemaking. Since then, this little bird has soared!
