The Maskerade Rot is a 30-year-old hilltop vineyard on slate and limestone soil. It's mostly a blend of Blaufrankisch and Zweigelt with a few others thrown in. Grapes are hand harvested and hand destemmed, then wild fermented in used 3000L barrels.
