Geyer Wine Co - 2018 ‘Seaside’ Cab Franc

Dave Geyer's '18 Cabernet Franc is so vivacious; and bright as a button. Fruit from Sellicks Hill, 50% of which was fermented on skins for 10 days with the other half made into a rose. Both portions were aged in old oak barrels before being blended and bottled with zero added sulphur, no fining or filtration. Wowie, this is an unusual and exciting expression of Cab Franc. The inclusion of rose brings buoyancy and elegance, imparting delicate fruit tones and light, fresh kisses. Crunchy, crisp and insanely pure, with distant echoes of salted liquorice, blueberry and redwood. Say hi to new go-to red.
