Frederick Stevenson - 2019 Hongell Grenache

As layered as an onion. As complex as a rubik's cube. But also, we won't hold it against you for wanting to put a straw in the bottle. So slurpy.

This Grenache is from the Hongell's vineyard just south of the historic Barossa subregion of Tanunda. Old vines, Biscay clay soils, 30% whole bunch wild ferments, matured in old barrels. Just 2,100 bottles made. It's bright and chompy with heaps of personality – friendly red fruits, edgy herbs, brooding earth and flirty spice (sounds like a girl band?). Bangin' tannin keeps things tight 'n tender.
