Foradori - 2019 ‘Sgarzon’ Teroldego
At the age of just twenty, back in 1984, Elisabetta Foradori found herself in charge of the family winery, based in the foothills of the Dolomite Mountains in Trentino. She has been farming biodynamically in this region since the early 2000s and the quality of the fruit truly reflects this care – her wines are paragons of purity and personality.
Elisabetta's '18 ‘Sgarzon’ is crafted from Teroldego, gently destemmmed without pressing before slow spontaneous fermentation on skins in teracotta tinajas for about 8 months. Aged for 12 months in teracotta. It's elegant and taut, dancing with a deluge of flavours – dark fruits, tobacco, florals, scorched earth, liquorice, mint and minerals. Such a dynamic wine.
