Foradori - 2019 ‘Fuoripista’ Pinot Grigio

At the age of just twenty, back in 1984, Elisabetta Foradori found herself in charge of the family winery, based in the foothills of the Dolomite Mountains in Trentino. She has been farming biodynamically in this region since the early 2000s and the quality of the fruit truly reflects this care – her wines are paragons of purity and personality.

Elisabetta's '19 ‘Fuoripista’ is made of Pinot Grigio from the biodynamic vineyards of Campo Rotaliano. The fruit is wild fermented for eight months on skins in Tinajas (Spanish amphorae) where it matures slowly to reveal the delicate character of Pinot Grigio and the forgotten diversity of Trentino. Rose gold in colour, it'll float you downstream with watermelon, peach, orange peel and strawberry. Acidity on point. Give it plenty of air (a day even...) and upon unleash, the wine is beautifully aromatic, warm, fruity and mineral-driven. Basically – everything you want in an orange wine.
