One of those wines you want to look at on the second day even. The verdant hills of the Jura are a sight to behold, and the wines and cheeses made within the perfect accomplices. Cooler climate, sloping aspects and though we mostly know the four main varieties, it’s home to over forty. Savignin is one such, the word "Naturé" being the local name for the grape. This wine is from a single vineyard called Pré Levront just below Corvées. The vines are 20 years old, but a small part was planted by Francoise Ratte’s (current winemaker and grower) great-grandfather over 100 years ago. An old estate full of charm and definitely one to look into for those who seek Jura coloured stars.
