2020 Le Rosé de la Cabane
These textural rosès really are fast becoming “the” drink. Cabernet Franc was pressed slowly to extract a little colour from the skins, but not enough to influence tannic extraction. Instead, we have a savoury little cherry tomato line, gilded by sappy strawberries, dragon fruit and rose petals. It really goes to show how much the influence of biodynamic farming can really have on a final expression of wine. The Plouzeau family have been concerned with the effects of the ever changing climate for decades, and made the change many many years ago, before Greta Thunberg was a hatchling. They make exceptional wines in the heart of the Loire Valley.
