2022 Cabernet Franc

"This is the inaugural release of this wine. To diversify the varietal mix on the property, Jasper planted Cabernet Franc—along with Gamay, Chenin Blanc and Rolle (Vermentino)—back in 2018. The plot is home to just 500 vines, and in the low-yielding 2022 vintage, this resulted in just 500 litres of wine. The fruit was picked at the end of March and destemmed by hand to puncheons for fermentation and maturation." – Commune of Buttons
