Punk Pinot Noir. Concentrated sour plums, sappy cherries, enoki mushroom. A sloshy wine that balances a fine act between serious and seriously pleasurable. Jasper and Sophie Button weren’t initially bitten by the wine bug, despite growing up in the Basket Range. They floated around, separately, doing their own thing for years. However, it was a familial pull that brought the siblings home, the prospect of their family’s home vineyard being lost to disrepair a little too much to avoid the call much longer. They began to restore the site and treat the fruit organically, quickly deciding that they’d turn their hand to making some wine themselves. What has resulted are vibrant, shimmery wines full of personality and pizazz, much like the siblings themselves.
